Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled pipefitter to plan, lay out, install, test and repair piping systems on industrial sites. You will read isometrics, fabricate, align components and perform hydro tests in accordance with plans and codes.

The role requires physical stamina, safety awareness, and the ability to work irregular hours on construction sites, with welding and threading tasks performed as specified.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of pipe system types: butt welded, socket welded, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, glued and fused joints.
• Read isometric drawings, measure, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt and clamp components for welding; assemble and secure pipes and fittings.
• Install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe and supports as per plans.
• Hydro test piping systems and inspect work for contract compliance.
• Move, lift and rig equipment; use powers tools safely on site.
