The role emphasizes safety, precision, and timely completion of tasks in outdoor settings across sites in the United States. Responsibilities include laying out parts, welding with various processes, inspecting bead quality, and maintaining cleanliness of weld areas while following project procedures and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor and coworkers.
• Must pass weld tests and be willing to work outside craft.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in hot/cold/damp environments.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding.
• Weld together metal components using specified welding processes.
• Inspect welds for bead size and conformance to specifications.
• Prepare welded joints and clean or degrease weld areas as needed.
• Follow safety rules and observe project guidelines.
