Qualifications

• Must be able to TIG and stick weld on stainless and/or carbon (pipe size and material welded varies per site).
• Must pass required weld tests (varies per site).
• Must be willing to work outside craft.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts prior to assembly.
• Weld metal components using specified processes.
• Inspect welds for bead size and conformance to specs.
• Operate welding equipment and adjust amperage/voltage as required.
• Maintain safety and project rules while welding in various positions.
• Prepare weld joints and clean surfaces as needed.
• May repair damaged parts and prepare surfaces for welding.
• May read blueprints and follow work orders or procedures.
