Joseph J Magnolia, Inc. is seeking an EXPERIENCED Pipe Welder for our Laurel, MD location. A pipe welder joins and repairs pipes and constructs piping assemblies according to standards. They utilize various tools, including specialized equipment, working both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in confined spaces and adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Install Commercial Chilled/Hot Water Hydronic, Steam, and Gas System Piping
  • Communicate effectively with the Construction Team
  • Review, layout, and install per Plans, Specs, Code, Safety, and Quality Requirements
  • Weld pipes and fittings, assist with grooved pipe and fittings, copper pipe and fittings
Requirements
  • Work Monday to Friday with some overtime in afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • OSHA 30 Certified
  • At least 3 years of commercial construction experience
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Welder Certification per ASME BPV Code Section IX
  • Certification testing is a condition of employment
  • Rigging experience
  • Ability to read installation plans and spools; capable of working in severe environments (bending, sitting, standing, climbing, dust, fumes) for extended periods
