Job summary

Trinity Products in O’Fallon, MO is seeking a Welder on 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3:00pm–1:30am) to weld, prep, and finish steel pipe products. The role requires at least 1 year of welding experience, ability to read blueprints, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year welding experience across various techniques.
• Successful completion of an internal weld test is required.
• Experience with D1.1 structural welding code application and quality standards.
• Ability to identify small defects in materials and joints that could affect structural integrity.
• Understanding 3D space is essential for positioning materials and effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform weld preparation, welding, and finishing tasks per specifications and drawings.
• Use SAW techniques to repair and strengthen weld seams on large steel pipes; pass UT testing.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and weld requirement symbolism.
• Set up and fine-tune welding fixtures and parameters for optimal welds.
• Execute grinding, fitting, and finishing operations with manual and power tools.
• Use power tools to prep joints for welding.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment for safe, effective performance.
• Use calipers and micrometers to inspect and verify work.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Move heavy materials with an overhead bridge crane.
