Job summary

Trinity Products seeks an experienced Welder for a Weekend schedule (Friday - Sunday, 5:00am - 5:30pm) in O Fallon, MO. The role focuses on weld preparation, SAW welding, and finishing of large steel pipes, with UT testing and strict adherence to D1.1 standards. HP PPE provided; 1+ year experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of welding experience across multiple techniques.
  • Successful completion of an internal weld test required.
  • Experience with D1.1 structural welding code.

Responsibilities

  • Perform weld preparation, welding, and finishing per specs and drawings.
  • Use SAW techniques to repair and strengthen weld seams on large pipes; pass UT testing.
  • Set up fixtures and adjust welding parameters (amps, volts, positioning).
  • Execute grinding, fitting, and finishing with manual and power tools.
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to verify circumference and joints.
  • Operate overhead crane to move heavy steel materials.

Salary Range: $23.00 To $24.50 Hourly

As a Welder on our Weekend schedule (Friday - Sunday, 5:00am - 5:30pm) you’ll play a vital role in creating and refining high-quality steel pipe products for industries across the nation. If you're an experienced Welder with an eye for detail, and if you’re ready to roll up your sleeves, work with purpose, and be part of a team that truly values your craftsmanship—this is the job for you!

  • Perform weld preparation, welding, and finishing tasks in accordance with detailed specifications, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Use submerged arc welding (SAW) techniques to repair and strengthen weld seams on large steel pipes. Pass UT (ultrasonic testing) to include proper back gouging with air arc.
  • Set up and fine-tune welding fixtures and parameters, including amps, volts, and positioning for optimal welds.
  • Execute grinding, fitting, and finishing operations using manual and power tools for a clean, polished result.
  • Use of power tools to properly prep joints for welding.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment to ensure safe and effective performance.
  • Use of precision measuring instruments such as degree finder to measure circumference around pipe. Occasional use of calipers and micrometers to inspect and verify work.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Use of an overhead bridge crane to safely move heavy, large steel materials.
Requirement:
  • A minimum of 1 year of welding experience across various techniques is preferred—bring your hands-on know-how to the table.
  • Prove your skills – Successful completion of aninternal weld test is required to join our elite team of welders.
  • Experience with D1.1 structural welding code, application, and quality standards.
  • Must be able to identify small defects in materials and joints that could affect structural integrity
  • Understanding three-dimensional space is essential for positioning materials and effective solutions.
  • Steel-toe boots, sleeved shirts, and a welding hood are required—your personal gear shows you're ready to get the job done right!
  • We’ve got you covered with the rest:Trinity provides all essential PPE including a hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, and protective gloves.
  • Experience operating anoverhead crane is a big plus—but if you don’t have it yet, we’ll help you get there.
  • Comfortable working in varied ambient temperatures—you’re not afraid to tackle real-world conditions.
  • Able to stand, move, and stay active throughout your shift—this is a hands-on, on-your-feet kind of role.
