Job summary

Trinity Products is seeking a skilled Repair Welder for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 5:00am-1:30pm) in Saint Charles, MO. You will weld, fit, and finish steel pipe components to blueprint specs, using calibrated fixtures and welding equipment. A weld test is required, and D1.1 knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year welding experience across techniques.
• Successful completion of an internal weld test required.
• Experience with D1.1 structural welding code and quality standards.
• Ability to identify defects affecting structural integrity.
• Understanding of 3D space for material positioning.
• Personal PPE: steel-toe boots, welding hood, sleeved shirts.

Responsibilities

• Perform weld preparation, welding, and finishing per specifications, blueprints, drawings.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and weld symbol requirements.
• Set up and adjust welding fixtures and parameters (amps, volts, positioning).
• Grind, fit, and finish using hand and power tools for a clean result.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Use calipers/micrometers to inspect work for accuracy.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain an organized work area.
• Move heavy materials using an overhead bridge crane when required.

• Perform weld preparation, welding, and finishing tasks in accordance with detailed specifications, blueprints, and drawings.
• Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbolism.
• Set up and fine-tune welding fixtures and parameters, including amps, volts, and positioning for optimal welds.
• Execute grinding, fitting, and finishing operations using manual and power tools for a clean, polished result.
• Use of power tools to properly prep joints for welding.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment to ensure safe and effective performance.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to inspect and verify work.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Use of an overhead bridge crane to safely move heavy, large steel materials.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of welding experience across various techniques is preferred—bring your hands-on know-how to the table.
• Prove your skills - Successful completion of aninternal weld test is required to join our elite team of welders.
• Experience with D1.1 structural welding code, application, and quality standards.
• Must be able to identify small defects in materials and joints that could affect structural integrity.
• Understanding three-dimensional space is essential for positioning materials and effective solutions.
• Steel-toe boots, sleeved shirts, and a welding hood are required-your personal gear shows you're ready to get the job done right!
• We’ve got you covered with the rest:Trinity provides all essential PPE including a hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, and protective gloves.
• Experience operating anoverhead crane is a big plus- but if you don’t have it yet, we’ll help you get there.
• Comfortable working in varied ambient temperatures-you’re not afraid to tackle real-world conditions.
• Able to stand, move, and stay active throughout your shift-this is a hands-on, on-your-feet kind of role.
