Job summary

Bechtel in Lake Charles, LA seeks an experienced Construction Leader to guide a team of superintendents and craft professionals on a LNG project. You will direct activities, manage schedules, and coordinate subcontractors to meet safety, quality, and budget goals.

Responsibilities include workforce planning, tool/equipment oversight, material requisitions, design document adherence, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Construction experience on LNG projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.
• Construction experience assigned to a construction site in a supervisory position.
• Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience in a supervisory role.
• Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power generating station construction.
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
• Extensive Piping experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned.
• Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
• Determines workforce requirements.
• Coordinates established area operational plans.
• Oversees tool and equipment usage on the site.
• Manages the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables.
• Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work.
• Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
• Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents.
