Job summary

AllStaff Careers seeks a technically skilled operator for a steel pipe mill environment. The role requires mechanical aptitude, welding experience, and ability to read safety/maintenance documents. You will support floor operations, equipment checks, and basic repairs on a rotating schedule.

Shifts run 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am with overtime paid weekly. Prior experience in manufacturing and with cranes, plus a proactive safety mindset, are valued for long-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• General mechanical skills; able to use torch and tools to complete tasks.
• Experience with stick welding.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
• Strong basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide in all units)

Responsibilities

• Perform autonomous maintenance: grease, oil, check fluid levels, etc.
• Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes and motorized vehicles.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical problems as needed.
• Inspect pipe, report any non-quality defects immediately.
• Complete shift reports and submit to Team Leader at shift end.
• Execute tooling and roll changes and adjust equipment as directed.
