Job summary

Northwest Pipe Company - Adelanto is seeking a Mill Operator to operate various mill equipment for steel pipe production. You will weld and splice pipe, break down coils, and maintain clean, safe work areas in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and mill experience; FCAW/SMAW certifications are preferred. Overtime and weekend work may be required, with strong emphasis on safety and attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preference for prior Mill operator experience.
• Certification in FCAW 2G/3G and SMAW 2G/3G/7018 preferred; tests may be required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate mill equipment and assist with pipe production.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA requirements; wear PPE.
• Weld and splice pipe; break down coils; maintain workspace cleanliness.
• Read blueprints and follow job instructions; identify pipe markings.
• Communicate issues to management; maintain attendance and reliability.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
