Job summary

Sunrock is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer based in North Carolina to install ductile iron, RCP, and other underground utilities. Candidates should have 1-2 years of relevant experience, be able to work around heavy equipment, and commit to safety protocols. Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience installing underground utilities or related pipe systems.
• Experience working around heavy equipment like excavators, dozers, or backhoes.
• Physically able to work outdoors year-round and lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
• Set up and align pipe to proper grade using lasers or hand levels.
• Assist with grading, trench preparation, and bedding installation.
• Maintain tools, materials, and jobsite cleanliness.

Skills

Experience installing underground utilities

Knowledge of ductile iron and RCP pipe installation techniques

Ability to read grade stakes and use pipe lasers

Experience working around heavy equipment

Commitment to safety and teamwork
