Job summary

Sunrock is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer in North Carolina to install utility lines for heavy civil construction projects. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of experience, especially with ductile iron and RCP pipe systems. Responsibilities include installing drainage systems, working safely around heavy equipment, and maintaining job site cleanliness. Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience installing underground utilities or related pipe systems.
• Experience working around heavy equipment, such as excavators, dozers, and backhoes.
• Ability to read grade stakes, follow line and grade, and use pipe lasers.

Responsibilities

• Install water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
• Set up and align pipe to proper grade using lasers or hand levels.
• Work alongside excavator, backhoe, and dozer operators during operations.
• Ensure safety protocols and trench protection requirements are followed.
• Maintain tools, materials, and jobsite cleanliness.
