Job summary

Staker Parson Materials & Construction is seeking a on-site Construction Helper in Draper, Utah to safely perform a variety of manual construction tasks. You will assist highway and utility crews, locate utilities before digging, and support pipe laying and trenching activities under supervision.

The role requires reading comprehension, basic math, reliable attendance, and a valid driver’s license. Prior construction experience and a commitment to safety are valuable assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous related experience in construction is a plus.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write correspondences and memos.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently per designed parameters.
• Locate utilities and buried lines before digging.
• Shovel earth and prepare ground trenches for pipes.
• May dig up pipes and debris with manual tools.
• Set up and move laser level/tripod and pipe lasers.
