Job summary

HK Idaho Falls is seeking an Experienced Pipe Layer to support highway, utility and site-construction crews in Idaho Falls. The role involves manual tasks, operating equipment safely, and following supervisor instructions.

You will read instructions, travel to sites, and assist other crew members. A valid driver's license and prior excavation experience are preferred; a GED is acceptable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of excavation site experience preferred, including laying water/sewer/storm drain.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely within designed parameters.
• Locate utilities and buried lines before digging.
• Shovel earth to prepare ground trenches for pipes.
• Rig and guide pipes as needed with equipment.
• Set up and move laser level/tripod and pipe lasers.
• Keep time and material records and perform site clean-up.
• Travel to various locations and support other crew members.
