Job summary

SAC’s Fabrication Services Department is looking for an experienced, pearl snap wearing, Pipe Fitter who can fabricate and assemble carbon and stainless piping systems from fabrication level shop drawings. Experience with isometrics is a plus.

The responsibilities include inspecting the work area, preparing materials, reviewing isometric drawings, and precisely fabricating and assembling pipe components to meet design specifications while coordinating with the welding team to ensure the

Qualifications

• Read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Strong arithmetic, fractions, decimals, geometry and some trig.
• Experience with metal fabrication and welding.
• Must pass a fit-up test and demonstrate layout accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work area and tools daily to ensure safety and OSHA compliance.
• Ensure materials and equipment are readily available for the job.
• Review pipe isometric drawings before fabrication.
• Cut, fit, assemble and tack weld pipe components per design specs.
• Coordinate with welding manager to secure correct materials for each job.
