Job summary

SunSource is seeking a skilled piping fitter to plan, lay out, and fabricate full-scale piping systems in a warehouse environment. You will read blueprints, source materials, and assemble components for welding, with attention to safety and quality.

The role requires interpreting plans, basic math, and the ability to work with metal sections including carbon steel and stainless steel. The position is full-time with standard shifts, potential overtime, and local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years related experience.
• Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, use simple math and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to convert metric to standard measurement and degrees to inches.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and plans, visualizing in 3D.
• Plan, lay out, and assemble piping systems per specs.
• Measure, mark, and cut pipes to specification.
• Assemble fittings and equipment and prepare for welding.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and hand tools; maintain a clean work area.
