AVANTech, LLC is seeking a skilled pipefitter to read and scale complex blueprints, lay out pipe systems, and perform pipe fabrication in the field.

This role requires welding experience, math aptitude for dimensions, and physical stamina for demanding site work; a four-day work week, competitive hourly pay based on experience, and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Competenze

• Experience in welding pipe and operating power tools; ability to lay out, fabricate, assemble and install pressure piping systems.
• Strong math and geometry skills to calculate dimensions and angles.
• Physical ability for demanding work, including bending, standing for long periods, or working at heights.

Mansioni

• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and isometrics to plan field pipe layouts.
• Measure, cut, bevel pipes to fit required angles and dimensions.
• Join pipe sections with welding or threaded joints; install piping with clamps, brackets, and hangers.
• Maintain OSHA and site safety standards when handling hazardous chemicals or high-pressure systems.

Core Responsibilities

• Blueprint & Layout Interpretation: Read and scale complex mechanical drawings, blueprints, and isometric specifications to plan the layout of pipe systems in the field
• Pipe Fabrication: Measure, cut, and bevel pipes (using tools like angle grinder or saw) to fit required angles and dimensions
• Assembly & Installation: Join pipe sections and fittings using welding or threaded joints. Install and secure piping systems using clamps, brackets, and hangers.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict OSHA and job-site safety standards, particularly when dealing with hazardous chemicals or high-pressure systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical & Technical Skills: High proficiency in understanding welding (e.g. pipe welding) and the ability to operate power tools and heavy machinery. Lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install pressure piping systems
• Math: Strong aptitude for basic math and geometry to calculate dimensions and angles
• Physical Capabilities: Ability to perform physically demanding work, including bending, standing for long periods, or at elevated heights

Education & Certifications

• Experience/Apprenticeship: Position requires at least 2 to 5 years of hands-on field experience
