Job summary

Armicontractors in Fayetteville, AR is actively seeking a Pipe Fitter to interpret blueprints, map pipe layouts, and assemble piping systems for process and utility piping projects. You will pull measurements, draw isometrics, cut and thread pipe, and support welders on job sites; travel is 100% and night/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Trade school or equivalent and 2+ years drawing isometric drawings.
• Willingness to travel 100% of the time.
• Available to work nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map pipe layouts.
• Pull measurements and perform takeoffs.
• Draw and interpret isometric drawings.
• Cut and thread pipe to specifications with appropriate tools.
• Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment.
• Inspect and test installed systems using gauges and hydrostatic methods.
• Lay out full scale pipe system drawings according to blueprints.
• Assist welders and fitters on job sites.
• Clean up jobsites after completion.

How you will make an impact

• Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials
• Proficient in pulling measurements and making takeoffs
• Draw and interpret isometric drawings
• Cut and thread pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders and benders
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications
• Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods
• Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints
• Assists with other welders and fitters as needed on job sites
• Cleans up jobsites after completion

What You Need to Succeed
