Job summary

AVANTech, LLC in Columbia, SC is seeking an experienced fitter/welder to join our fabrication team. The role focuses on MIG/Flux Core welding, pipe fitting, and reading engineering drawings to build vessels and skids.

Candidates must pass ASME pressure vessel and piping codes, read tape measures, and operate power and hand tools. This is a 4-day work week with competitive pay and opportunities for advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be experienced in MIG/Flux Core welding and pipe fitting.
• Fitting code stamp vessels and skids
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols used to fabricate pipe assemblies or skids
• Prep pipe fittings and pipe ends for full penetration welds on pipe assemblies
• Must have the ability to read a tape measure
• All welds must pass ASME pressure vessel and piping codes
• Must be able to operate power and hand tools

Who You Are:

• Must be experienced in MIG/Flux Core welding and pipe fitting.

• Previous experience as a fitter preferred


• Ability to work in confined spaces


• Ability to read a tape measure and use power and hand tools


• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
