Job summary

Applied Research Laboratories at UT Austin invites a Research Associate to advance GNSS signals and software research on the Pickle Research Campus. You will contribute to designs, implement algorithms in C++ and Python, and publish findings for sponsor reviews and scientific journals.

The role requires a PhD and post-graduate GNSS experience, with a track record of presentations. Immediate start; extensive collaboration across ARL:UT and external partners is expected.

Qualifications

• PhD in engineering, physics, computer science, or related field.
• Experience developing software in C++ or Python for scientific applications.
• Post-graduate experience developing GNSS signal processing or related algorithms.
• Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed publications and presenting technical content.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level GNSS signals and software research relevant to SGL interests.
• Publish and present research internally and externally; engage with sponsors.
• Contribute to system designs, software implementations, and data collection methods.
• Implement algorithms in C++ and Python; define interfaces and test cases.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to staff and students.
