Job summary

GLIMPSE is seeking a Founding Forward Deployment Engineer to turn messy ERP and data into reliable software at the intersection of customer reality and product. You will own problems end to end, from vague asks to shipped solutions, shaping how the FDE function grows.

You will design patterns that scale, handle legacy sources and partial data, and ensure validation and auditability across financial workflows with AI-informed tooling. NYC-based team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on with data pipelines and integrations against ERPs/financial systems.
• Comfort with messy, legacy, and undocumented data sources.
• Proven track record owning ambiguous projects end-to-end.
• Strong testing, validation, and auditability, plus AI governance instincts.
• Daily use of AI-assisted development tools.
• Clear communication in code, writing, and design docs.
• Low ego and high standards; collaborative feedback.
• Experience building with LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Own customer problems end to end.
• Find the real problem by examining feedback and constraints.
• Build data integrations that move and reconcile data across systems.
• Design scalable integration patterns across ERPs and data stacks.
• Make correctness a first-class requirement with validation and auditing.
• Set the bar for clean, correct code and AI-enabled tooling.
• Make others better by unblocking teammates and aligning teams.
