Job summary

Prologis is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to shape and deliver large-scale AI deployments across the company. As the first FDE, you will set technical direction, mentor peers, and own production readiness from discovery to deployment.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of hands-on software engineering, AI engineering, technical delivery or enterprise-solution experience, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience partnering with business leaders to reimagine end-to-end processes using AI, contributing to engineering delivery and measurable outcomes.
• Strong hands-on programming and architecture skills across Python, APIs, data platforms, cloud and modern application technologies.
• Deep practical experience with LLM applications, agentic systems, retrieval, tool integration, evaluations, guardrails and production observability.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, data integration, identity, security, data protection and software-operating models.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead deployments spanning multiple workflows, business units or enterprise systems.
• Ensure each deployment has defined outcomes, sponsorship, architecture, milestones, production ownership and a handoff plan.
• Translate strategic objectives into redesigned workflows that combine AI agents, software and human judgment; define roadmaps and acceptance criteria.
• Architect, build, test and troubleshoot production-grade AI applications, agents, retrieval systems and workflow solutions.
• Mentor Senior FDEs and guide implementation across teams to improve delivery quality.
• Provide executive reporting on value, progress, risks and decisions.
