AbbVie in North Chicago is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to set-up, clean, and maintain equipment and to run processes under supervision, consulting with qualified personnel when problems arise. You will observe quality characteristics of products and processes and complete documentation in line with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelors or Associates Degree in a scientific related field is desirable.
• Job requires basic technical or mechanical background and knowledge.
• Must be able to read, understand, and follow verbal and written operating instructions and the processes described on equipment monitors; write clearly to explain deviations; perform basic arithmetic.

• Learn and follow department policies, procedures and guidelines. Complete documentation and supporting data per cGMP policies and guidelines.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Develop systematic work habits showing effective organizational skills.
• Be able to prepare for process requirements following supervisory instructions.
• Note quality issues and address with appropriate people.
• Review procedures and batch records, and suggest improvements; identify safety issues during pre/post runs and help correct them.
• Provide accurate material and equipment status reports when handing off manufacturing processes.
• Learn and be able to use inventory system.
