Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to perform cGMP biologics production tasks in our Illinois facility, collaborating with engineers on setup, calibration and quality testing of materials and equipment.

Responsibilities include shipping finished materials, maintaining inventory, sampling in-process and raw materials, operating glass washer and autoclave, and executing CIP/SIP and cell culture steps to scale production.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in science or equivalent experience.
• Preferred 4+ years area specific relevant experience.
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years relevant experience.
• Ability to handle moderately difficult tasks with judgment.
• Little instruction required in daily work; capable of informal leadership.

Responsibilities

• Shipping finished materials.
• Maintaining inventory levels.
• Sampling of in process and raw materials.
• Running glass washer / autoclave.
• Buffer / media preparation.
• Equipment preparation (CIP / SIP).
• Cell culture (from vial thaw to production scale).
• Column chromatography.
• Tangential flow filtration.
