Job Description

Title: Lab Technician I

Work Location: 23800 Mercantile Road, Beachwood, OH, USA 44122

Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Qualifications:

• Must have mechanical aptitude and excellent laboratory or pilot plant scale skills, including detailed record keeping and knowledge of safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Must be able to lift and handle up to 40 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office software and Lotus Notes required.

Responsibilities:

• Work in a team environment under minimal daily supervision in chemical laboratory and pilot plant.
• Process and synthesize chemical catalysts and substances in solid and liquid forms, including autoclave, mixing, heat treating, extruding, and pelletizing operations.
• Organize and store data in electronic databases, including MS products and custom applications.
• Collaborate closely with supervisors and team members in both the pilot plant and laboratory to provide raw materials, samples, and data.
• Regularly lift up to 20kg and work in body and respiratory protection equipment (powered air-purifying respirator).
• Identify hazards and work safely following Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines.
