Job summary

Responsibilities include demonstrating proper form, creating a supportive class environment, and maintaining equipment and space. Certifications in CPR/AED and First Aid, plus a 200+ hour Pilates program, are required.

Qualifications

• Pilates Reformer Instructor certification with 200+ hours of training.
• All required trainings within 90 days from date of hire.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with members of all fitness levels.
• Knowledge of fitness principles and practical applications.
• Fingerprinting requirement for YMCA of San Diego County staff.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification (Adult/Child/Infant) from recognized organizations.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive member experience and actively engage participants during workouts.
• Demonstrate proper form, modifications, and cueing for safe routines.
• Maintain a clean and safe workout area.
• Efficiently utilize scheduled class time and manage equipment setup/breakdown.
• Build community by learning names and helping members reach health goals.
• Adhere to YMCA class guidelines and safety protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and communicate clearly with groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
