Job summary

West Essex YMCA seeks a Pilates Reformer Instructor to lead safe, progressive reformer classes in a part-time position. You will adapt sessions for all ages and abilities, demonstrate proper technique, and ensure equipment safety as you foster a welcoming YMCA community.

Responsibilities include planning sessions, maintaining class flow, recording attendance, and providing exceptional member service while upholding industry standards and YMCA policies.

Qualifications

• Certification as a group exercise instructor and pilates reformer specialist.
• Ability to teach mixed-level reformer classes with clear cueing and safety.
• CPR/AED and first aid certification to ensure member safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, inclusive Pilates reformer classes following YMCA standards.
• Provide modifications and progressions for varying abilities and ages.
• Maintain equipment, set up/clean reformers, and monitor safety during classes.
• Record attendance and report as required by YMCA procedures.
• Engage members, promote wellness programs, and deliver exceptional service.
