Job summary

YMCA of San Diego County seeks a Pilates Reformer Instructor to lead safe, effective reformer classes and personal training sessions. You will welcome members, guide workouts, and create a supportive environment that promotes physical and mental wellness.

Position requires a nationally accredited reformer certification, CPR/AED and First Aid, and the ability to work with participants of all levels. Training is completed within 90 days of hire; fingerprinting clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Nationally Accredited Pilates Reformer Certification required.
• All job trainings to be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Strong communication skills with members of all fitness levels.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive member experience and engage participants in workouts.
• Demonstrate proper form, modifications, and cueing to ensure safe workouts.
• Maintain a clean and safe workout area.
• Efficiently utilize scheduled class times.
• Set up and breakdown class equipment on time.
• Build community and help members reach health goals.
• Adhere to YMCA class guidelines.
• Be able to respond to emergencies.
• Communicate with groups effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.
