Job summary

Mejuri is expanding its piercing studio footprint and seeks a Piercing Lead to elevate the customer journey through initial piercings, high-quality materials, and strict safety standards. You will mentor teammates, manage studio operations, and help drive store profitability while upholding Mejuri's values in every client interaction.

The role emphasizes hands-on piercing expertise, hygienic practices, and the ability to build a loyal local client base across markets.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with needle piercing.
• Experience working with threadless jewellery.
• Up to date with First Aid and Blood-borne Pathogens OSHA Certifications.
• Experience working with an autoclave or statim.
• Have or be registrable with local law enforcement or meet requirements by area for permits such as the “Practitioner Registration” and related documents.
• Understanding of local market piercing law requirements.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols surrounding piercing procedures.
• Demonstrated understanding of service excellence in a consumer environment.
• The desire to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Bonus: you have experience selling product at a fast growing company.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the piercing customer journey from start to finish, including greeting, check-in, styling, transaction and aftercare education.
• Be a calm and professional presence during piercing services.
• Act as Mejuri ambassador and grow local clientele.
• Communicate insights about piercing products to Store Manager & Store Services.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to optimize studio flow and scheduling.
• Explain aftercare and infection warning signs to clients.
