Job summary

East Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Pier Diem Cook to join our dietary department. You will prepare and serve meals, maintain sanitation, and collaborate with the foodservice team to ensure high-quality service for residents.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring food safety, delivering excellent resident care, and supporting inventory and ordering processes. Weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Qualifications

About the Role:

As a Pier Diem Cook at East Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, well-being, and satisfaction of our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and serving a variety of meals, snacks, and beverages that cater to individual dietary needs and preferences. You will also maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict sanitation and safety standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, to meet the dietary needs of our residents
  • Ensure the quality and presentation of all food and beverages served to residents
