Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Nursing Assistant (NA) for the PICU V at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. This Per-Diem Day shift role supports RNs with vital signs, mobility and personal care, helping deliver safe, compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, documenting in the EHR, adhering to infection control protocols, and collaborating with the healthcare team to implement care plans while maintaining patient safety and dignity for all patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and current BLS certification.
• Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical nursing program experience preferred; CNA certificate recommended.
• Per-Diem Day schedule 7:00am–3:00pm with every other weekend and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, bedside care, bathing and hygiene.
• Monitor vital signs and document in the EHR.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain patient safety.
• Coordinate care with RNs, physicians, and therapy staff.
• Provide compassionate care to patients in the PICU V unit.
