RWJBarnabas Health's Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ seeks a Director of Patient Care (RN) for the Post Intensive Care Unit‑V (6 South). This salaried Day shift role provides 24‑hour accountability for patient care delivery and unit operations.

You will lead nursing staff, develop standards, manage the budget, participate in quality initiatives, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure safe, age‑appropriate care and strong patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license and BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; master's preferred. 3–5 years acute nursing experience; management experience also required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes early.
• Ensure high-quality, age-appropriate nursing care on the unit.
• Develop and implement patient care standards and staff education.
• Maintain unit administration including scheduling, supplies, and equipment.
• Evaluate staff performance and participate in quality assurance activities.
• Manage the unit budget and participate in interdisciplinary rounds.
