Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant for the Post Intensive Care Unit-II, per diem, with evening shifts at RWJ Rahway. The NA will provide basic patient care under RN supervision, monitor vitals, perform EKGs, draw labs, and support daily patient needs in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and a current AHA BLS certification. CNA program completion or prior NA experience is preferred; nights 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, every other weekend, with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Previous Nursing Assistant experience or CNA program completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure.
• Perform EKGs and draw labs from patients.
• Provide direct patient care under RN guidance and supervision.
• Assist in meals and feeding; report intake to RN.
• Maintain patient safety and assist in admissions transfers.
