Job summary

BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Night Shift ICU Charge Registered Nurse to lead a fast-paced unit and coordinate patient care for each shift.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas RN license, current BLS, ACLS and PALS within required windows, and has at least 2 years of acute care experience; prior leadership or charge nurse experience is preferred to support a collaborative nursing team, in line with our Christian love, service and dignity values.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current license as an RN in the state of Texas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift.
• She/he provides leadership to the staff by working cooperatively with the nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team to assure that care is given through utilization of the nursing process.
