Job summary

Northbrook-Park-District is seeking a Part-Time Pickleball Attendant at the Sports Center in Northbrook, IL. The role focuses on maintaining order, enforcing rules, light custodial work, and public interaction in a park district facility.

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down gym spaces, security walkthroughs, incident reporting, and assisting with league substitutions while adhering to safety policies and attending required trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Demonstrated customer service experience or focus.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Possess basic knowledge of pickleball.
• CPR/AED Certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire.
• Knowledge of software applications for program registration.

Responsibilities

• Routinely enforces rules, regulations and policies at an assigned facility.
• Effectively performs light custodial work and routine clean-up.
• Completes athletic facility or gym set-ups and break-downs.
• Routinely walks facility for security reasons and to inspect for safety issues.
• Accurately fills out accident reports, incident reports, and any other forms and schedules established by the park district.
• May operate equipment (e.g. clocks/timers) as required.
• Must arrive fifteen minutes early.
• Must greet the public or team prior to any game, practice, or open play situation.
• Diligently follows and adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with internal and external customers in a positive manner.
• Follows safe work practices.
• Attends trainings and meetings as required.
• May be required to personally maintain or have access to facility keys, fobs, or codes for facility access.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
• Sub in leagues as needed.

This position is responsible for maintaining order and enforcing rules at any gym, or athletic facility, light custodial work, and dealing with the public in a variety of situations at a park district facility. Demonstrates commitment to the Mission, Vision and Guiding Principles of the District.

Pay & Schedule:

$15.40 - $17.50Per HourThis is a part-time, non-exempt position.Monday - Friday 5:00 PM - 9:00 PMMaybe asked to work weekends.Anticipated Start Date: 9/18/2026

Duties & Responsibilities:
