About the role

E-CONTRACT PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated Picker & Packer | Scanning & Labelling professional to join our dynamic warehouse operations team in the Pioneer West Region. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our distribution centre. As a Picker & Packer, you will be at the heart of our logistics operations, responsible for accurately selecting, scanning, labelling and packing items to fulfil customer orders. This role is essential to maintaining our high standards of accuracy, safety and customer satisfaction, making it a key contributor to our overall operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately pick items from warehouse shelving and storage areas according to customer orders and picking lists
• Scan barcodes and product codes using handheld scanning devices to verify items and ensure accuracy
• Apply labels to products and packages with correct information including barcodes, tracking numbers and destination details
• Pack items into appropriate boxes, cartons or containers, ensuring proper protective materials are used
• Sort and organise packed items for dispatch according to delivery schedules and regional destinations
• Maintain accurate records of items picked, packed and labelled throughout each shift
• Conduct regular quality checks to identify any damage, defects or discrepancies before items leave the warehouse
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures and warehouse protocols to maintain a safe working environment
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets and fulfil orders efficiently
• Operate warehouse equipment including trolleys, hand trucks and packing stations safely and responsibly

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in a warehouse, distribution centre or similar fast-paced logistics environment
• Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy in picking, scanning and labelling tasks
• Ability to work efficiently whilst maintaining high quality standards and meeting productivity targets
• Familiarity with barcode scanning systems, warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer literacy
• Good physical stamina and capability to perform repetitive tasks throughout an 8-hour shift
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise multiple orders
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly and work methodically
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a team
• Reliability and punctuality with a positive work ethic
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is advantageous
