Job summary

Surestaff, LLC is hiring Picker/Packer for a large client in Glendale Heights, IL. You will pick, pack, and prepare orders in a fast-paced distribution environment and support shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities include processing inbound/outbound shipments, using RF Scanners, loading/unloading pallets, and operating warehouse equipment. Overtime and safety compliance are required; health benefits and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience preferred.
• High attention to detail and safety/compliance.
• Demonstrate good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and sound judgement.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Rider & Forklift Certified a plus.

• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties and report unsafe conditions.
• Drive rider trucks to build orders on pallets, forklifts to transfer materials between zones.

Job description

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Picker/Packers for a large, well-known client in Glendale Heights, IL. As a Picker/Packer for SURESTAFF, you will work in a fast-paced distribution environment and be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations including:

• Shipping & Receiving (Picker / Packer)
• Quality Assurance
• Inventory Control (RF Scanners)

SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($18/hr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shifts include 6am-2:30pm.

Responsibilities of the Picker/Packer:

• Pick, pull, and prepare orders while maintaining an organized shipping and receiving area.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments.
• Load and unload pallets. Scan items into inventory control system using RF Scanner.
• Safely & efficiently use warehouse equipment including pallet jack, hydraulic jack, RF Scanner, computers, and handheld printers.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties and report any unsafe work area conditions.
• Drive rider trucks to build orders on pallets, forklifts to transfer materials between unloading, processing, loading, and storage areas.

Required Qualifications of the Picker/Packer:

• Previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred.
• High attention to detail and safety/compliance.
• Demonstrate good communication skills, problem‑solving skills, and sound judgement.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Rider & Forklift Certified a plus.
