Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive a forklift; operate equipment and move pallets while following safety regulations.
  • Work with racking systems; load/unload pallets and optimize storage.
  • Use a Warehouse Management System to manage and control inventory
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly storage area
  • Keep daily inspection records and ensure product integrity
  • Inspect incoming product for damage and sort inbound boxes
  • Restack, rewrap, and repair pallets as needed
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by Warehouse Management

About the Job

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Picker role is a high‑visibility, high‑impact leadership role within the Warehouse Department at TFI USA.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Safely drive a forklift; perform basic operation such as driving forward and backwards, lifting, and lowering the boom and maneuvering in tight areas without causing damage while following all safety regulations.
  • Working with a racking system as well as loading and unloading of pallets, pulling, and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks while maximizing storage by stacking vertically.
  • Using an electronic Warehouse Management System to manage and control inventory
  • Maintain a safe and orderly storage area for products
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned area
  • Maintain records of daily checklist (pre-trip inspection)
  • Inspect all incoming product for damage
  • Sort inbound boxes by type
  • Restack, rewrap, and repair pallets as needed with careful regard for the product
  • Any additional task set forth by the Warehouse Management, within scope and ability
Requirements/Education/Experience/Skills)
  • High school diploma
  • 2–4 years of experience in food manufacturing is preferred
  • 1–2 years driving a High Reach Truck
Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of food manufacturing
  • Experience with warehouse, forklift, reach truck
  • Must have a high sense of urgency / bias for action
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills
  • Bi-linguage English/Spanish strongly preferred

Salary/Compensation Range: $56,160 - $57,512 annually

This range represents the expected base salary rate for this position. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and other factors. This role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
