Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field and 8+ years of IT experience.
  • Experience leading IT teams, vendors, and multiple projects.
  • Expert knowledge of hardware, software, networks, and support practices.

Responsibilities

About the Job

Reporting directly to the Chief Transformation Officer (USA), the Information Technology Manager is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for shaping and advancing TFI USA’s technology strategy, infrastructure, and support operations. In this role, you will lead a team of IT professionals and managed service providers while ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the systems that power our business.

This opportunity allows you to drive innovation, influence technology decisions, and make a meaningful impact across the organization as a trusted technology leader. You will partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and align IT initiatives with organizational objectives while overseeing technology projects and vendor relationships. In this role, you will champion best practices in governance, cybersecurity, and operational excellence while leading continuous improvement efforts and evaluating emerging technologies. By providing strategic direction and supporting the resolution of complex technical challenges, you will help ensure a secure, scalable, and efficient technology environment that enables business success.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee IT personnel, managed service providers, and day-to-day IT operations.
  • Lead vendors in root cause analysis and resolution of technical issues.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and professional development for IT staff.
  • Drive implementation of innovative technology solutions and platforms.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of system changes, including requirements, design, procurement, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, governance, and internal control requirements.
  • Maintain deep understanding of enterprise systems, infrastructure, and architecture.
  • Manage IT projects and vendors, including procurement, proposal, project plan and progress, budget and risk, etc.
  • Contribute to IT governance, technology planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Research emerging technologies and trends and recommend improvements to business operations.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of help desk operations, ensuring efficient ticket management, adherence to service level expectations, effective issue resolution by the IT team, and direct involvement in the resolution of critical or escalated incidents as required.
  • Manage the monitoring, maintenance, and performance of hardware, software, and IT systems, ensuring timely deployment of updates, patches, and infrastructure upgrades while supporting the team in resolving complex technical issues.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for network, system, and user issues.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies, applying technical expertise, project management, and consultative leadership to drive initiatives that enhance end‑user productivity, operational effectiveness, and business performance.
  • Ensure IT processes and systems comply with company policies, controls, and applicable requirements.
  • Promote secure technology practices and information governance standards.
  • Maintain and enforce documented procedures and standards.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and strict adherence to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by Thomas Foods International, USA, while reinforcing these standards across teams.
  • Required to travel between Swedesboro, NJ and Cherry Hill, NJ.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management, within scope and ability.
Requirements/Education/Experience/Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible information technology experience.
  • Experience leading IT teams, vendors, and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Expert knowledge of computer hardware, software, network infrastructure, and IT support practices.
  • Strong project management, business analysis, vendor management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to determine business technology needs and train end users effectively.
  • Experience documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting servers, desktops, laptops, and related equipment.
  • Communicates effectively across all levels of the organization, including team members, leadership, and external stakeholders, demonstrating strong verbal and written skills and the ability to positively influence others.
  • Applies critical thinking and creative problem‑solving skills to identify challenges, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates effectively within cross‑functional teams, contributing positively to a shared work environment while remaining open to feedback and diverse perspectives.
  • Demonstrates a high level of organization in a fast‑moving environment, managing competing priorities and multiple tasks while driving consistent quality and on‑time delivery.

Salary/Compensation Range: $95,000-$120,000 annually

This range represents the expected base salary rate for this position. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and other factors. This role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
