Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a team member for Pick & Prep to prepare products and create a sensory, engaging guest experience in-store. You will operate at or above company standards, demonstrating knife showmanship and ensuring high quality and safe product handling.

The role emphasizes guest engagement, product storytelling (Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal, Local) and strong teamwork with store staff. 18+ years old; able to lift 25 lb regularly; ability to follow directions and use scales and computers.

To prepare Pick & Prep product and provide product preparation services to create a sensory and engaging experience for guests, while operating at or above company standards. All Hosts will earn an additional $1.00/hour premium for all hours worked from 5/10/26 to 9/5/26!

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, active sampling and suggestive selling.
• To personally demonstrate superior guest service at all times. This will included but is not limited to story telling about specific products within the department, highlighting product benefits such as Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal and most importantly Local, etc..
• Demonstrate knife showmanship skills to highlight the services and show offered at Pick & Prep
• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to strict merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

• Demonstrate effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to effectively communicate with, and take direction from supervision.
• Ability to work well with computers and scales.
