Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Pick & Prep team member to actively engage guests with product preparation, tastings and suggestive selling. You will demonstrate knife showmanship, maintain sanitation and operate the Pick & Prep area according to standards.

The role requires friendly interaction, ability to lift, stand for extended periods, and basic computer and scale use while delivering outstanding guest service and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, active sampling and suggestive selling.

• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards and maintain sanitation and safety.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising and guest service as needed.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Overview

To prepare Pick & Prep product and provide product preparation services to create a sensory and engaging experience for guests, while operating at or above company standards.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, active sampling and suggestive selling.
• To personally demonstrate superior guest service at all times. This will included but is not limited to story telling about specific products within the department, highlighting product benefits such as Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal and most importantly Local, etc..
• Demonstrate knife showmanship skills to highlight the services and show offered at Pick & Prep
• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to strict merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
