Job summary

TridentCare is seeking a PICC Line Nurse in California to assess patients and perform PICC or midline insertions with strict aseptic technique. You will educate patients and families on post-insertion care and coordinate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure safe, effective vascular access.

The role requires RN licensure, PICC certification, BLS, and a minimum of two years in OR/IR or PICC insertion, with strong communication skills and a focus on patient safety.

Qualifications

• RN with PICC certification and BLS.
• Strong knowledge of caring for central venous catheters.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and perform overall evaluation.
• Place PICC line and ensure correct placement.
• Communicate effectively with patient, family and health care team.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Educate patient on PICC care and maintenance.
• Document insertion and placement confirmation as per policy.
• Maintain aseptic technique and minimize patient discomfort.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and participate in quality improvement activities.
