Job summary

VTP is seeking experienced PICC RNs for a sporadic per diem mobile role across hospitals and facilities in the Western and Southern United States. You will place PICCs and midlines with ultrasound guidance and manage vascular access devices, traveling to customer sites as needed.

The role requires independent scheduling, active nursing license, BLS, and a passion for vascular access. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany the flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current, active license
• Experience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasound
• Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs)
• Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• American Heart BLS Certification
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and meet scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care RN experience
• Must possess a smart phone
• Must LOVE vascular access

Responsibilities

• Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance
• Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation
• Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices
• Provide vascular access support services including port access, line removal, and declotting
• Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines, and other CVADs
