Job summary

Quantum Computing Inc. (QCi) in Cranbury, NJ is seeking an experienced Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) Test Engineer to test, evaluate and analyze the photonic devices for quantum applications.

You will collaborate with the PIC design and fabrication teams to iterate on the PDK and customized devices, and to develop automated test procedures, summarizing results to support design and production improvements.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or master's degree in electrical engineering, Applied Physics, Photonics, or related field.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience in PIC test on fiber optics and free space optics, and wafer level testing.
• 1+ years of experience with high‑speed EOM Characterization with VNA/LCA.
• Programming skills for data analysis and automation (Python, MATLAB).
• Strong knowledge of waveguide theory, coupling mechanisms, electrical and photonic device physics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee optical and electrical characterization of fabricated PICs, analyzing performance against design targets.
• Identify and implement design or process improvements based on test data.
• Develop automated test procedures where applicable.
• Collaborate with the fabrication team to estimate fabrication robustness of the PDK and customized design.
• Collaborate with the design team to analyze each fab run and iterate for next run.
