Job summary

Berklee College of Music is hiring for student employment opportunities on campus. The role involves joining rhythm sections to accompany pianists in Piano Department labs and ensembles, collaborating with the course faculty and fellow musicians.

Ideal candidates are current Berklee or Boston Conservatory students, enrolled at least half-time, with a valid SSN and meeting GPA requirements. Acoustic bass is preferred, and the position offers on-campus work with exposure to a wide range of music

Qualifications

• Current Berklee or Boston Conservatory student
• Enrolled at least half-time in a degree/diploma/certificate program
• Summer employment allowed if pre-registered for upcoming fall
• Have a valid US SSN
• Maintains valid visa status as applicable
• GPA at least 2.0
• First-semester students may work
• Federal Work-Study eligibility may apply
• In good disciplinary standing
• Must be located in the US

Responsibilities

• Play rhythm sections to accompany pianists in Piano Department labs and ensembles
• Work with the course faculty and rhythm section members to back the pianists
• Acoustic bass preferred in most classes; ensemble play at rating 3+
• Gain experience across a wide range of music and professional development
