Job summary

West Virginia University Health System in Waynesburg, PA is seeking a Primary Care Physician for our outpatient center. The successful candidate will have an MD/DO with residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics and be board certified or eligible. Rank at Assistant, Associate, or Professor with leadership and scholarly expectations.

Outpatient duties, teaching, and collaboration with a multi-specialty health system are core parts of the role.

West Virginia University School of Medicine - Primary Care Physician

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek Primary Care physician qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in our Waynesburg Outpatient Center in Waynesburg, PA.

Duties

The successful candidate will practice in the areas of primary care in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics residency program. Successful candidate must have board certified / eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Location

WVU Medicine’s Waynesburg, PA clinic provides access to a range of medical specialists and some of the most advanced medical technology available in the region. The 15,000-square-foot clinic is conveniently located off exit 14 of I-79. The facility includes 30 exam rooms and six procedure rooms. This is an opportunity to practice primary care in a small town with all of the resources of a large health system. This is a well-established practice with exceptional partners and support.
