West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Departmentof Medicine seek General Internal Medicine physician qualified forappointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, orProfessor rank. The successful candidate will be expected topractice in Morgantown, WV.
This position will focus primarily on academic inpatient internalmedicine with a small outpatient component. At WVU, you willcollaborate with a team of over 25 outstanding and experiencedinternists. All subspecialties are present and available forconsultation within the clinic and hospital. Opportunities alsoexist in clinical research. Physicians with a special interest inglobal health would have an opportunity to participate in ourrapidly expanding global health residency track.
Duties: In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in the teachingof medical students and residents. For appointment at the AssociateProfessor or Professor rank, it is expected that candidates sustainan outstanding, extramurally supported research program.
Qualifications: applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreignequivalent and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted state medicallicense. Candidate must have completed an accredited internalmedicine residency program at the time of appointment. Forappointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, ademonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communicationskills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. Allqualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
