Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a physician to coordinate outpatient care, perform histories and physical exams, and manage patient treatment plans.

The role requires an MD or DO and an unrestricted license to practice in the United States. Board certification or eligibility is preferred, with opportunities for professional development and working within a multidisciplinary team in the Northern California VA Health Care System.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent.
• Current full/unrestricted license in the US.
• US citizenship or eligible non-citizen status as applicable.
• Board certification or eligibility in specialty preferred.
• Pre-placement TB and immunization evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for outpatient panel.
• Perform histories and physical exams.
• Prescribe medications and order tests as needed.
• Provide education to patients and families.
• Supervise and collaborate with care team.
