Job summary

Bayhealth Medical Center in Delaware seeks a Registered Nurse for the Heart and Vascular Institute to manage cardiac rhythm implantable device patients and collaborate with cardiology teams across hospital and physician practice settings. The role includes in-office testing, remote monitoring review, MRI guidance, and patient education.

Requires Nursing degree and RN licensure with BLS and ACLS; minimum 2 years of cardiology experience. Day shifts, full-time, 80 hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree; Nursing; Or Nursing Diploma.
• Credential(s): Registered Nurse, BLS, ACLS.
• Experience: 2 years of cardiology experience.

Responsibilities

• In-office interrogation and testing of cardiac rhythm implantable devices per industry guidelines.
• Evaluate and process remote reports for cardiac rhythm implantable devices per industry guidelines, including assessing and triaging urgent issues found on remote reports.
• In-office site evaluation, interrogation and testing of cardiac rhythm implantable devices, and patient education after cardiac rhythm implant device procedures.
• Signing MRI guideline orders for cardiac rhythm implantable device patients.
• Providing written guidance for surgeries and procedures for cardiac rhythm implantable device patients.
• Answering clinical questions about cardiac rhythm implantable devices from patients and other providers.
• All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities

General Summary:

Works collaboratively with the general cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists and APC's. Manages cardiac rhythm implantable device patients for both in-office and remote monitoring evaluations. The Registered Nurse, within a collaborative model, provides quality care and improves patient outcomes by strengthening the continuity of care in all settings for patients, families, and staff in both the hospital and physician practice settings.
