Job summary

The Physician - OB/GYN role in Ocala, FL requires immediate eligibility for a Florida medical license and board-eligible status in obstetrics and gynecology. The position involves high-quality inpatient management, resident supervision, and collaboration with ED and NICU teams.

Responsibilities include participation in resident education, department meetings, emergent ED consults, and surgical assistance with an estimated 80 surgeries per year.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with Florida license to practice obstetrics and gynecology.
• Board eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology (BE) acceptable.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• EMR: EPIC experience.
• 3 years post-residency experience required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in resident education and supervision per ACGME requirements.
• Supervise non-physician providers, if applicable.
• Attend OB/GYN Department staff meetings.
• Emergent consults in ED as needed.
• Surgery Assist: Yes; NICU level II; approximately 80 surgeries per year.

Physician - OB GYN

Shift: 24-hour shift times, Monday-Sunday 8a-8a, 24 hours

Duties:

Coordinate the use of diagnostic and treatment modalities to provide high quality and efficient medical management for inpatients assigned to their service.The physician will ensure that the patient, family, primary physician and related hospital and community services are well informed of the plan of care. In addition, the physician may perform consultative service to patients upon request.

Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited school of medicine with a current license to practice medicine in the state of FLBC or BE in Obstetrics & GynecologyACLS preferredEMR: EPIC
